School History
The school was founded by Dr. Zuorui Song in 2003. Under his leadership, It has grown to be the largest Chinese school in north Florida. We specially would like to thank all the teachers who taught for free in the formative days of the school.

![]() Principal: An, Lian (安 莲) |
Dr. An, Lian graduate from University of Kentucky with a Ph.d degree in Economics. Currently, she is an assistant professor of Economics at the Coggin College of Business of the University of Noth Florida. Born in a scholarly family, she was immersed in the Chinese culture like Confucianism and Taoism from Childhood. In addition, she is one of the key faculty members at UNF responsible for establishing the Confucius Institute (孔子学院) in Jacksonville with Hubei University, where she graduated in China. |

Ms. Li graduated from Shanxi Normal University majoring in Chinese Literature. She came to the US in the year 1990, afterwards, she has been to Ireland. In all the places she lived, she has taught Chinese in the local elementary, Middle and high schools. Thus, she has ample Chinese teaching experience. |

Dr. Yongan Wu received his bachelor degree of English from the Sichuan Normal University. He completed his master’s and doctoral degree at the University of Oklahoma studying English Education. His doctoral dissertation was about the strategies and benefits of teaching Young Adult Literature to ESL students in an extensive reading environment. Dr. Wu is now teaching Chinese at the University of North Florida in the U.S. His research interests include second language acquisition and cross-cultural studies. |

Iris has been working in the pharmaceutical industry in R&D, finance and licensing functions with increasing responsibilities over the past 10 years. Before moving to Jacksonville with her family this summer, Iris was Associate Director of Business Development at a Fortune 500 company, where she was responsible for identifying and assessing licensing and acquisition opportunities. She has a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from University of Pennsylvania and a MBA degree from Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. Iris currently serves as our Director of public relation and communication. |
![]() Marketing Director: Xu, Jing (徐晶) |
Born in Shanghai, China, Dr. Jing (Jasper) Xu has been living in his hometown until finishing undergraduate study from Fudan University. He acquired his Ph.D in statistics from the University of Georgia in the year of 2009 and now is working as a biostatistician. He has been serving as well as leading the local Chinese community for 6 years before arriving at Jacksonville. He is passionate about life and believes in “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” |

Dr. Liang is an immunologist and has worked in autoimmunity/inflammation and pharmaceutical development for the last 15 years. He has worked for Johnson&Johnson for the last 7 years and currently with Vistakon. Before he has joined Johnson&Johnson, he worked for GlaxoSmithKline and Wyeth. |

Ms. Chen works in a company in Jacksonville as a Software Engineer. Before she came to the US, she has taught in a college as Assistant Professor in China. She has lived in Canada for 7 years and moved to Jacksonville in 2005. |

Zhou Yihan (Haze) is from Kunming, China. She graduated from Huazhong Normal University in Wuhan with a degree in English in 2006. She first started teaching at Delter Business College in Wuhan before graduating, where she taught university students as well as being the foreign teachers' coordinator for residency and traveling at Delter. Her next teaching position began in March of 2008 at English First School in Wuhan, where she concentrated on students between the ages of 3 to 10 years old. She also taught teens and adults at lower English levels. After marrying her clever and very handsome husband, Haze moved to Jacksonville in the fall of 2009. With over three years of experience teaching children English, Haze switched her focus to teaching Chinese as a second language when she began teaching at JCA School at the University of North Florida. She loves teaching children, focusing on basic vocabulary and sentence structure, as well as having fun! |
