This semester we learn approximately 40 sentence structures including the position of time expressions, 又…又，怎么都，etc. Students will receive specific training on how to tell a story, how to express their feeling toward a certain event, and how to organize thoughts to make a statement, among many other learning tasks. There are about 160 words and characters in the textbook. So each week they will learn 12 words and 3 sentences structures during this 15 week span.
In addition to learn the language, cultural points such as ancient Chinese fables and current breakthrough in science and technology made by China will be introduced and discussed. Students will have opportunities to talk, discuss and compare their responses so as to get some hands-on experience about Chinese Culture.
